Inuit supply drive

We know someone who is traveling to Iqaluit, NU with Haskin Canoe to teach the Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid course to youth leaders from across the territory. These youth leaders will be running summer day camps in their communities in July/August.

The training week they’re supporting is funded and organized by The Recreation & Parks Association of Nunavut (RPAN), and this is the 10th year of the program. they had the privilege of teaching first aid at the conference in 2022!

They’re bringing supply packages to give to the youth leaders. The price of food, first aid supplies, and other items is incredibly high in Nunavut, and the youth leaders are very appreciative of the supplies we bring.

Here is a wish list of items if you’d like contribute:

  • shelf-stable pepperettes (eg. Hot Rods)
  • dried fruit bars granola bars (any flavour)
  • individually wrapped tea bags boxes of bandaids (fabric or plastic)
  • ballpoint pens

Please drop off at any game or headquarters no later than June 21st, 2024
