Read MoreThe Ottawa Suds Buds & Windmills (SBW) was established in 2010. At the time of its creation, the main goal was to provide co-ed opportunities to play safe recreational-level softball.
Now SBW has grown into a miniature league, playing softball while also adding Futsal, Volleyball and Ball Hockey to its roster. SBW also organizes annual softball tournaments, events and charity outreaches in the Ottawa region.
SBW continues to foster new friendships and provides new experiences to young Ottawa adults to play and grow as a team.
Over the years, SBW has grown and learned with the help of its sponsors: Broadhead Brewery, Northern Phenix, Southbank Dodge, Dinardo's Ski.Bike.Hike and Katimavic Massage Therapy.

Alex led with a double, followed by Isabelle’s single for the first run. Seb hit a high flying ball that seemed to just hang in the air like Eric’s balls, which still haven’t descended...
Read MoreOur next game was the next in a long list of games were the first half was slow and the second exploded. About five minutes in, Terek Lariviere would wrist one top corner to put SBW up 1-0. A few minutes later, Eric Delisle would be the trigger man of a one-timer and make it 2-0...
Read MoreIn our next game we had SBW taking on VI, in this epic game where if you got a goal, you won. The first half would see lots of chances, LOTS of them. But the masked men were too good as not a single shot would make it into the back of the net. VI held the edge in chances as they were leading 19-10 in the sot department...
Read MoreOur next game saw SBW taking on DoH, in this tight knit game. The game started with both teams getting lots of chances, but neither would be able to capitalize. That was until about three minutes were left in the half, when Terek Lariviere would wrist one far side...
Read MoreIn our next game we had a much closer affair as SBW was taking on HSK. There was only one goal in the entire first half as Marc Bélisle would wrist one home in the slot. That’s how it stood as the first half was very much a goalie duel as HSK held the edge in shots 19-17...
