Ottawa’s Suds Buds & Windmills: Who Are We?
The Ottawa Suds Buds & Windmills (SBW) was established in 2010. At the time of its creation, the main goal was to provide co-ed opportunities to play safe recreational-level softball.
Now SBW has grown into a miniature league, playing softball while also adding Futsal, Volleyball and Ball Hockey to its roster. SBW also organizes annual softball tournaments, events and charity outreaches in the Ottawa region.
SBW continues to foster new friendships and provides new experiences to young Ottawa adults to play and grow as a team.
Over the years, SBW has grown and learned with the help of its sponsors:
Broadhead Brewery,
Northern Phenix,
Southbank Dodge,
Dinardo's Ski.Bike.Hike and
Katimavic Massage Therapy.
Much as how the season started, the playoffs also begin with playing the Lumberjacks. The Buds had to face off with the Jacks 3 times in the season and went 1-2. The opener was a heart breaker seeing the Buds losing in as the home team with two chances to seal the win with a home run.
All indications point to this being a tight affair and it was! The game st...

In the bottom of the inning, ...

If someone else wrote this post-game, I hope they would have written “Drew took the best pictures of his life”, because that’s what happened.
It’s hard to pinpoint the exact reason. Perhaps with the extra day off he took, but SBW finally got Drew into Pam Vanderson and to diamond 3 at the RA to capture photos for the Tuesday Rec Team...

It’s a Trap Ottawa softball madness
Pitch Please, is it a request for a pitch or some fun word play with all sorts of sass. The Buds actually got to find out this time as the best of the B decided to show up this time! It was also a welcomed return for Bud’s short stop Justyn with a “y” after being off for a month with a hamstring injury.
Game starts...
