In our next game we had SBW taking on NR, and it was expected that SBW would just steamroll their way to the final, but that was mostly the players of SBW. SBW would open the scoring twenty-five seconds in as Heather would be the recipient of a goalie misplay that she just out waited the sprawling tender to chip it over him. Around thirteen minutes later, Chelsea Lloyd would tap a pass from behind the net five-hole and it was an even game. The last four minutes of the half were rather exciting as SBW would regain the lead as Terek Lariviere would finish off a give and go, 2-1. Which was followed up by back-to-back goals, just forty seconds apart, as Sean Harvey would go in a chip it low blocker and he would score off the next face-off as he banged home a loose rebound to give NR the 3-2 lead as we were headed into the half. NR was all over a lack luster SBW team, outshooting them 19-9. Shots didn’t matter too much as SBW would get the next goal when Eric Delisle would take a shot from the point that redirected off a jumping players foot and right in as the goal was credited to Jake Miron. Colin Kargus would regain the lead for NR as he would be the recipient of some much needed luck; Shawn Weller would cut behind the net and the tender would follow the player, but unbeknownst to everyone, but Colin, was the ball stayed behind and C. Kargus got the easy tap in, 4-3. With time winding down, and hope dwindling, Krystle would take a shot from the slot and the goalie made the initial save, but it redirected and found its way to the back of the net, 4-4. As was the trend with NR games, this was headed into overtime. The first OT solved nothing. But about a minute into the second OT, C. Kargus would take a shot that missed the net, and as the goalie came over to cover the net, he kicked the ball into the net and NR take this one 5-4 OT and continue their unbelievable post-season as they will face DoH the finals a little later.
