In our first game of the day we had SBW taking on TC in this fairly even match-up. The game started quickly as just over a minute in Terek Lariviere would backhand a loose ball in front past the keeper. A few minutes later, SBW would add to their lead as Mark Laurin would get a pass in the middle and wrist it cleanly past the keeper making it 2-0. The next eight minutes or so was fairly one-sided as SBW were getting virtually no chances. Around the eight minute mark, Charles Grondin would blast it past the tender on the power play from a one-timer. A couple minutes later, Danny Henry would know this game up as he just threw it on net and it had eyes, because Riel Ouimet didn’t see it and it was just inside the post, 2-2. That’s how things would look at the break as TC were badly outshooting SBW 17-6. The second half saw more even play as SBW would regroup at half. About ten minutes in, Charles Safarian would find himself at a weird angle and he just threw it on net and beat the tender. A few minutes later, Laurin would even this one up as he would walk in and rip it top cheese (tee hee hee) on the short side. A few minutes after that, Laurin would complete the Hat Trick and give SBW the lead as he would beat the keeper in close. That was pretty much it, except SBW would get an empty netter on the power play to make the final score 5-3.
