Friday A team is playing Bate island strikers. They start off with a solo at bat. We put up 4 in our half to lead after one. They came back with 4 to pull ahead at the end of the inning. Marty highlighted that inning by dropping a fly but managed to got the force out at second base. We would rally for 5, Alex got 3 on a double & Zack would cash-in a couple more. Inning ended 9-5 for us. Bate island strikes kept up with their hot bats putting up another 4. Eric put up 2 Ks to hold them off from scoring more. We put up a big inning, Krystle promised Marty Catcher if we put up 7.. Which we didn’t due Krystle’s Baby brain can’t count. However we still our up 15-9 after 3. The last 2 innings were solid defensively for SBW. Only allowing 1 run by solo. Alex used his belly to make an out at second. Eric caught fly ball at pitcher, Tiana would make a tag for the second out & Alex would flash some leather and get the last out at second base proving the debate from the weekend that stiffer is always better!
Apparently Alex is 7feet tall cause he got strike out looking at a pitch that didn’t go over his neck making him humble once more.
The end score was 21 to 10 for us.
