Our next game saw SBW taking on HSK in a game with a high scoring first half and extremely low scoring second half. Less than a minute in Jake Miron would put SBW on the board as he about a minute later, HSK would go off for 3 goals in five minutes. Ellen Wardroper would get a wrister on net, that the goalie flubbed; Ryan Daigle would get a face-off win and beat the keeper low corner and Alastair Webb would wrist it in from the point making it 3-1. Dylan Cundell would even this game up, getting back-to-back goals. First, he would beat the keeper with a beautiful deke and follow it up with a snapper, top shelf making it 3-3. Ken Wardroper would give HSK the go ahead goal as he went end to end and buried it. A couple minutes later, Webb would give HSK the insurance marker as he was in the right place, at the right time as his defence took the initial shot that hit him and went in, 5-3. Cundell would complete his Hat Trick as he did all the hard work in front and it would pay off as his shot trickled in. That’s how we looked at break as HSK lead 5-4 and also in shots 20-15. The second half saw some stellar goaltending, as only one goal was scored the entire half. SBW would’ve liked it to be them, as it would have tied the game up, but alas it was HSK that got the insurance marker from K. Wardroper about five minutes in as he wristed a loose ball to the low corner, while on the power play. Well that’s all she wrote as HSK take this one 6-4.
