RULES
Roster and Batting:
- Teams can have any size roster and bat as many players as desired.
- However, only 3 males can bat in a row.
Fielding:
- Minimum of 7 players and maximum of 10 players on the field.
- At least 3 females must be on the field defensively.
Scoring:
- Maximum of 5 runs per inning, with unlimited runs allowed in the 6th inning.
- Games are 6 innings long. If the home team is leading, they will not bat in the bottom of the 6th inning.
Home Runs:
- Each team is allowed 4 home runs per game. Any home runs beyond this will result in an out.
Safety Rules:
- Cannot throw a female out at 1st base from the outfield.
- If the batted ball hits the pitcher, the batter is out and the play is dead; runners cannot advance.
- The pitcher must wear a mask. Any defensive player covering the pitcher’s mound area must also wear a mask.
Mercy Rule:
- If a team is leading by 15 runs after 5 innings, the game is over.
Balls:
- Men will hit 12-inch balls, and women will hit 11-inch balls.
- The pitcher must ensure the correct ball is pitched. If an 11-inch ball is pitched to a male batter, the batter will be called out.
Extra Home Runs:
- Teams can purchase extra home runs for $10 or 10 non-perishable food items each.
- This must be done before the game. Bring your donation or $10 to HQ to receive a ticket for one extra home run per game. All proceeds go to Renfrew & District Food Bank.
